We are the StJames Youth Forum and we havn't been around lately for we had a break,but last time we ran for around 6 weeks and our first meeting to start up again this year is on the 9th July. Our aim is to allow a group of young people from the StJames area to get together every week and talk about issues in their community. From this we then see what we can do to resolve the issue. Also we allow the youths in the group to organise events for their community, (please see past events page).
The group started with two workers from groundwork Zoe and Erin who id like to take the chance to thankyou to for helping us start the project off. These fab girls helped us with the events and showed us how the work was to be done. Unfortunately Erin left last year but our new year , Zoe is back to help us! Furthermore we have now got £7,500.00 to spend on the project, and the events that the youthforum come up with and plan in the next couple of weeks. The events will be happening over the next year right up to December or maybe further!
All the information about our weekly meetings and the events that are being held will be on this website and advertised in shops via posters and leaflets mainly throughout derker and sholver. Keep looking and checking the details and leave your comments and views!!
